What Noteson keeps, where, and what it never sends anywhere. Last updated 15 October 2026.
Audio stays on your Mac
The desktop app listens to the call through the Mac’s own audio and turns it into text on the Mac itself, with a local speech model. No audio is uploaded to Noteson or to anyone else.
What the account holds
- Your name, email address and a hashed password.
- Your meeting setup: industry, job descriptions, your introduction and, if you add it, your CV as text.
- The API keys you enter for the answer models, so the Mac can read them. They are sent only to the provider they belong to.
- Scheduled meetings: title, company, time, meeting link and notes.
- The questions and answers of each meeting, and the debrief, when “Save interviews to my account” is on. Turn it off and nothing is uploaded.
- The name and system version of each Mac that uses one of your access keys (one key per Mac), so you can see and remove them.
Who answers the questions
The text of each question, with your setup, goes to the answer provider you chose (Google, OpenAI or Anthropic) under your own key and their terms. Noteson does not read or store those requests beyond what is saved to your account as described above.
Deleting everything
Account has a “Delete account” button. It removes the account and every record above at once.
